Daywise Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrive at Paro airport I Transfer to Thimphu I Thimphu Half Day Sightseeing

Pick-up from Paro airport & transfer (65 kms – 1.15 hrs drive) to Thimphu. Pari Airport is one of the smallest and beautiful airport, before landing one can have a breathtaking view of Himalayan ranges from the flight.

Check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Tashichho dzong ( Outside view), National Memorial Chorten, Government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts shops.

Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 2 :Thimphu Full Day Sightseeing

Thimphu is the only capital city of the world without any traffic signal. The traffic policeman stands at busy intersection to manage the traffic and all the vehicle mover so smooth and organizedly one can never believe that it doesn’t have a single traffic signal.

After breakfast visit to

  • Takin Preserve  - A wildlife reserve area for Takin, the national animal of Bhutan.
  • Buddha Point -  One of the largest Buddha Statue in the world, at 169 feet (52 m) and contains 100,000 8-inch-tall and 25,000 12-inch-tall gilded bronze Buddhas.
  • BBS Tower - Amazing view of entire Thimphu City from here
  • Arts and Crafts School
  • Simply Bhutan Museum

After lunch  visit to Changlimithang Stadium & Archery ground.

Overnight stay at Thimphu.

Day 3 :Thimphu to Punakha /Wangdue via Dochula pass

After permit  ( Permit is not issued on Saturdays, Sundays & Govt holidays) drive (70 kms / 2.30 hrs) to Punakha/Wangdue, en route halt at Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), the pass is a popular location among tourists as it offers a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of Himalayan mountain range. The view is especially scenic on clear, winter days with snow-capped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass.

Enroute visit Chimi Lakhang, Punakha Dzong and Suspension Bridge.

Overnight stay at Punakha/Wangdue.

Day 4 :Excursion to Phobjikha Valley

After breakfast excursion to Gangtey & Phobjikha- [alt. 3000m] : The valley of Gangtey is one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan. The surprise of finding such a wide, flat valley without any trees after the hard climb through dense forests is augmented by an impression of vast space. On the valley floor lays the village of Phobjikha. This place is the winter home of black necked cranes that migrate from the arid plains in the north to pass winter in milder and lower climate. Phobjikha,at an altitude of 2900 m, falls under the district of Wangduephodrang and lies on the periphery of the Black Mountain National Park. Return at Punakha.

Overnight stay at Punakha/Wangdue.

Day 5 :Punakha to Paro I Paro Sightseeing

After breakfast, transfer to Paro & visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong which has a long and fascinating history. While getting back stop at. Later visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom and Tiger’s Nest View Point and Paro Brewery Factory. Return at hotel.

Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 6 :Excursion to Chele La

Morning drive to Chele-la - The highest motorable point in Bhutan. After driving through blue pine & rhododendron forest for 45 km, reach Chele-la pass ( 4200 meters). From this point one can have a superb view of Mount-Jhumolhari & Jichu Drakey. This is a very good place to walk around for enjoying the view. Later in the afternoon drive to Paro.

Day 7 :Day hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery / Taktsang Monastery -

Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site, located approximately 10 km north of Paro town at an altitude of 3.120 meters. In order to arrive at the temple visitors must trek for around 2-3 hours through beautiful, shady pine forests. No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to this remarkable world heritage site.  

Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 8 :Drop to Paro International Airport.

After Breakfast drop to Paro international airport.

Payment Policy:

 

  • Booking will be confirmed only with 25% advance of the total package amount
  • All payments for the tour should be made 10 days prior to the departure. Final documents will be issued only after the balance payment is made..

 

 

 

Cancellation Policy:

 

  • More than 45 days prior to departure: No cancellation
  • From 15 to 45 days prior to departure: 25% of the package cost
  • From 3 to 15 days prior to departure: 50% of the package cost
  • Less than 3 days to departure: 100% of the package cost
  • If the participant is not able to complete the tour or to consume benefits included in the price of the tour, for reasons neither caused by him nor the organizers, or should he not be able to complete the tour, he / she has no right to claim a refund

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Your contract is with Bhutan Packages. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Bhutan Packages.

Payments

For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.

Payment Options

Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.

Rights to amend the itinerary if required

Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Refund

In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.
