How to reach:
Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery is situated at a distance of approximately 33 km from Punakha Valley. You can hire a car from Punakha to reach there which would take almost 2 hours. You can also witness some other Punakha sightseeing places on the way to the Sangchhen Nunnery.

Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery exhibits the tallest statue of Avalokitesvara, Chenrezig chagtong chentong in Bhutan which has an average height of 14 ft. The nunnery was started with 41 nuns and now it houses 70 rooms.
